REFLEXIONES SOBRE LA INVESTIGACIÓN EN DISEÑO

Abstract

Despite its youth, design is perfecting its research methods day by day. This communication aims to be an initial reflection before starting a design research. First, differences between design practice and design research are highlighted. Second, on the one hand the most influential design research theories are mentioned, on the other hand, the epistemological debate generated around these theories is presented. Third, an analysis about design research application scope is carried out. Finally, a theoretical framework where the different design research methods are framed is proposed.
