The proposal of union and collective work is a frequently characteristic in rural development projects. Nevertheless the process which people assume the advantages of this way of work not always is successful. When the project ends they come back to the previous situation. Facilitation stimulates collective action through the acquisition of skills and personals attitudes that people carry out in teamwork. Furthermore of realization of a common task, facilitation expects creation of relationships and bonds of trust in the group that allow their components work together to solve problems. This process has been studied in four working groups created in different projects in Cuenca, Spain. Through the analysis of the groups, it has been seen the leadership role that facilitator takes in first moments of the group. People declare to have acquired certain competences during the development of group work which are necessary to their continuity. However, in other cases competences have not been properly transferred to the group and it hinders their sustainability.
