A computer application has been created and implemented for using in the study of industrial buildings and for rehabilitation of rural architectural heritage sustainability. It is based on sustainability indicators included in the project “Integrated Value Model for Sustainable Structures (IVMSS)” and the mathematical method of analytical hierarchies “Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)”.
The versatility of this application allows identify, give priority, select and weight the criteria considered the most important indicators to evaluate the potential for rehabilitation of rural buildings. It is developed a model that defines all the characteristics of the elements to be evaluated, assigning a function to convert the various peculiarities of the alternative, in a common unit, named the call value, is obtained. Once the total amount of value for the alternative, it may be used for a sustainable assessment.
It is proposed a computer application, which gives us a linear model, weighted additive that merges all factors into one overall score. This based on multi-criteria decision processes that reflect the relative importance of each factor.
