CARACTERIZACIÓN CLIMÁTICA DE EXTREMADURA.

Abstract

The purpose of this procedure is to improve, enhance and amend the information that describes the weather for each of the 386 municipalities in Extremadura, contained in the document of the technical building code.

In this work, we present the results of the allocation of climate zones for the municipalities of Extremadura.

Subsequently to the obtain weather information, defines the procedure for the allocation of climatic zones.

Describes two cases for the development of the methodology, which considered the municipalities which have climatic records and those which do not. The first procedure uses defined correlations of climatic severity in the CTE. For the rest an interpolation procedure are used that makes a correction regarding the geographical distance, the difference in altitude and latitude, thereby improving the CTE results, which only requires knowledge of the altitude difference between the municipality and its provincial capital.

It is concluded that this methodology allows the calculation of climatic zoning consistent with the Spanish regulations on Energy efficiency in buildings, obtaining a more precise zoning that existing one.
