PROPUESTA METODOLÓGICA PARA EL ESTUDIO DE LA MIGRACIÓN DE FRINGÍLIDOS EN LA COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA

Abstract

The migration of finches in the Valancian Community is a fact that has attracted over the years, both by the large group of fans of these little birds singing, as by the competent administration in management of the environment, in order to be able to perform some action strategies consistent with their population. In the absence of sufficient data to satisfy these concerns, this paper proposes a methodology that enables the collection of data at low cost over time (10 years), and further analysis of the information obtained so as to establish accurate conclusions on population levels of finches that cross the region, migration strategies and the potential impact that human activity (urban and industrial development, pollution, farming, etc.) might have on this.
