The gasification process as a concept has to do with the conversion of a carbonaceous substrate in a gaseous fuel under the influence of a gasifying medium. The product gas resulting from this process, essentially composed of H2, CO, CO2, CH4 and N2, can be used in numerous applications in the form of heat or electricity. In addition, the option of obtaining variety of storable liquid fuels for a subsequent application by the Fisher-Tropsch synthesis is added. In the municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment plants a considerable flow of rejected material is generated, which cannot be used, either for technical or economic reasons, is destined to landfill. This rejection can be transformed into a solid recovered fuel (SRF) with several attractive thermochemical characteristics to be energetically exploited. The objective of this work is the simulation of the gasification process of the SRF in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor, obtained from rejected materials of the municipal solid waste treatment plants. Thus, the influential variables on the kinetics of the process through the review and study of bibliographic sources have been analyzed. And the process has been simulated using Matlab software.es_ES
