| dc.description | Los jóvenes representan actualmente el porcentaje más alto de la población mundial, y dado que próximamente serán adultos mayores, tomarán decisiones para tener un mundo más ordenado y equitativo. Por este motivo, la participación de los jóvenes en la planificación del desarrollo es muy relevante y en muchos países se está tratando de fomentar con diversas medidas. El presente artículo analiza la trayectoria de la participación juvenil en el ámbito latinoamericano y concretamente el perfil de la participación juvenil en el ámbito de Ecuador, país en el que su Constitución reconoce el papel estratégico de los jóvenes en el desarrollo. Para ello se analiza el caso de estudio de la parroquia rural Sayausí del cantón Cuenca, mediante la aplicación de encuestas, entrevistas, y un taller de Empowerment Evaluation a los jóvenes y al gobierno descentralizado. Los resultados obtenidos permiten proponer estrategias que ayuden a mejorar la participación de los jóvenes en la comunidad. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Young people now represent the highest percentage of the world population. Soon, they will be seniors and they will take decisions for a more orderly and equitable world. For this reason, the participation of young people in development planning is very important and many countries are trying to promote it through various measures. This article analyzes the trajectory of youth participation in the Latin American region and specifically the profile of youth participation in Ecuador, country in which the Constitution recognizes the strategic role of youth in development. The case study of Sayausí rural parish in canton Cuenca is analyzed, through surveys, interviews and an Empowerment Evaluation workshop to young people and decentralized government. The results obtained allow to propose strategies to help improve the participation of youth in the community. | es_ES |
