NUEVA REGULACIÓN ADMINISTRATIVA DE ACTIVIDADES DE LA COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA: LEY 6-2014, DE PREVENCIÓN, CALIDAD Y CONTROL AMBIENTAL DE ACTIVIDADES.

Abstract

By implementing the State Law 5/2013 of 11th June of integrated pollution prevention and control (amending Law 16/2002 of 1st July), aimed at simplifying the procedures for operation and implementation of economic activities, it has been published the Law 6/2014, of 25th July regarding to Prevention, Quality and Environmental Control of Activities in the Valencian Community, which main novelties are: a) The maintenance of the instruments for environmental intervention, Integrated Environmental Authorization and Environmental Licence and the creation of the Responsible Environmental Declaration and the Harmless Activity Communication. b) The derogation of Decree 54/1990 of the Valencian Regional Government has replaced the Nomenclature of Qualified Activities by the activity categories subject to Integrated Environmental Authorization, the activity categories subject to Environmental Licence and the conditions to determine activities to be included in the regime of Responsible Environmental Declaration or Harmless Activity Communication. The aim of this paper is to analyze the most important changes in the new regulation of activities referring to new denominations, category variations, processing procedure and bodies involved in granting.
