dc.description | The construction industry is facing the challenge of climate neutrality, which requires a coordinated approach of strategies by the different entities participating in a construction project. Engineering project sustainability is one of the strategic areas to achieve the European Union's Fit for 55 objective: "Reduce CO2 emissions by at least 55% by 2030." In this context, and in the absence of real alternatives to cement-based materials for use in projects, strategies must be proposed through which they can be de-carbonised. Cement-based materials are responsible for 30% of the global CO2 emissions generated throughout the useful life of infrastructures, so the search for alternative binders with a lower carbon footprint would increase the sustainability of these projects by improving the structure's sustainability contribution index (SSCI). This research work evaluates the reduced CO2 emitted in a project in which the concrete structures are made with conventional cements compared to those that are made with new low-carbon cements. dc.description.abstract | La industria de la construcción se enfrenta al reto de la neutralidad climática, lo que requiere el planteamiento coordinado de estrategias por parte de los diferentes entes participantes en un proyecto constructivo.
