dc.description | 3D bioprinting is a process of manufacturing functional tissues and organs from biomaterials by means of computer software that generates a 3D model. The materials used must have a balance between printability and biocompatibility. Due to these conditions and the high cost of commercial biomaterials used in 3D bioprinting, it is necessary to carry out a correct characterisation of these materials in order to analyse the usefulness of the biomaterial for the objectives, and to ensure, through the application of well-defined boundary conditions, a correct 3D bioprinting of the previously designed structure. The aim of this work is to develop a device specially designed to analyse and test the materials used for 3D bioprinting of biomimetic structures under controlled conditions of humidity, temperature, CO2 and sterility. In this way, in addition to characterising the mechanical properties of the hydrogel in a sterile environment suitable for the subsequent incorporation of cells and defining the most suitable applications, it also provides information on the optimum conditions of pressure and temperature applied to the hydrogel, so that the extrusion is correct. Keywords: 3D bioprinting; product engineering; printability; 3D design; optimisation; standardisation. | es_ES |
