Within the framework of the Energy Reform in Mexico, the release of the electricity market is planned, which is why there is a New Tariff Schedule to create a more efficient, safer, cleaner and competitively priced electricity sector. Thus, it is sought that the Federal Electricity Commission in the electricity sector is no longer monopolistic, freeing the activities of generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization of electricity, also creating a Wholesale Electricity Market based on supply and demand, and with incentives for cleaner energy sources. However, the new prices are impacting the productive sector with increases that can range from 20% to over 50%. In this paper an analysis of the structure of the new tariff scheme is made to determine what opportunities the productive sector has - be it small, medium or large companies - to reduce the energy costs for the new electric model, implementing energy management systems or incorporating renewable sources. Three illustrative cases of the most common commercial electricity rates in the Mexican state of Jalisco are analyzed.es_ES
