Determinación de los niveles de desempeño de la gerencia de proyectos en Colombia

Abstract

The scientific literature about Project Management highlights several research works around the performance of project management, typically from an exploratory perspective, with a limited statistical sample and developed on foreign contexts far away from the reality of project in Colombia. Therefore, it is needed to conduct an applied investigation in order to analyze this phenomenon in the Colombian enterprise context. On this research work, the performance levels of project management were established in organizations from the Colombian enterprise context, from a fieldwork in which 500 organizations from different enterprise sectors nationwide were studied. Initially, a detailed bibliometric analysis of 1242 publications, and a literature review of scientific sources about the performance of projects were conducted; furthermore, a theoretical framework and an information gathering instrument were developed; afterwards, a detailed fieldwork was performed covering organizations from different industries from the Colombian enterprise context; and finally, field data was analyzed, research findings were documented and future lines of research were defined.
