Abstract

The project was born out of the interest of the municipalities involved, in employment in disadvantaged rural areas, taking advantage of natural resources. And given the real development of the biomass sector of forest origin, and the interest in products of natural origin, for the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, biocide, and food and beverage industries. This study intends to establish the bases for a future development of products derived from the prickly rockrose, with the possibility of other aromatic and medicinal plants (PAM). The project has focused on: the characterization of the study area, we have demonstrated the plant mass and the nature of the terrain (physiography, lithology, archaeological heritage, legal nature, environmental protection zones). The demographic and sociological characterization, identification of suitable and unfit areas for its use. Finally, we want to characterize the products related to the sticky rockrose. Study of yields at the preindustrial level by steam distillation. We will also reuse biomass as fuel. We have made a study on the state of the art. And finally we want to make the resource exploitation plan.
