MODELO DE INTERVENCIÓN SOCIAL (MIS) PARA LA IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE PROYECTOS DE DESARROLLO RURAL: APLICACIÓN EN EJIDOS DE CUNDUACÁN, TABASCO, MÉXICO

Abstract

The conceptual structure of a social intervention model focused on the implementation of rural development projects is presented. The project evaluated seeks to add value and improve commercialization to agricultural products. The conceptual basis of the model is participatory action research and specific aspects of the Leader approach, adapted to the Mexican context. The model was applied in 54 rural villages in Cunduacán, Tabasco (Mexico). At the same time a process of capacity building among the research institutions was recorded. Results show that a Local Action Groups (LAG) in Tabasco is in the process of consolidation. This was formed as an alternative to negotiate economic resources from public and private institutions. From this new LAG, information about the construction of linkages between organizations, activities and resources is provided to users, from both research and rural organizations. These linkages-public and private- tie the local agents around productive projects with technological innovations. These new projects are the core for the design of a Rural Innovation Programme (RIP) between the institutions and the rural organizations involved.
