No obstante, el promotor decide el sistema elegido, si bien el beneficiario del ahorro energético será en comprador de la vivienda. dc.description.abstract | A house ventilation system can be mechanical or hybrid with the use of natural ventilation being limited to a complementary system. The mechanical extractor must operate continuously throughout the day while the hybrid extractor only starts to operate when the conditions for natural ventilation are not present. In any case, the design requirements for the hybrid system will be similar to those of the mechanical system as well as complying with a series of special requirements due to the need to provide natural ventilation. Basically, it attempts to reduce the causes of pressure losses and increase the flow as far as possible. Evidently, these requirements are not necessary when extraction is mechanical. The hybrid ventilation implies the need to include more elements and for a larger and more complex installation. This system requires measurement and control elements for the units to operate as mechanical ventilation or as natural ventilation when possible. The hybrid system is more expensive although it saves energy. Nevertheless, the developer decides on the chosen system although the beneficiary of the energy saving will be the house purchaser.
