ESTUDIO Y PROPUESTAS DE MEJORA EN LA RECEPCIÓN Y ALMACENAMIENTO DE LA MATERIA PRIMA DE UNA EMPRESA AUXILIAR DEL AUTOMÓVIL

Abstract

The automotive industry is one of the main industrial sectors of our country. During the production process are handled many raw materials that are transformed into finished product. Proper storage is essential to promote recruitment and maintaining safety for processes and workers. This paper presents the study of the reception of raw materials and their distribution in the warehouse of raw materials and semi-finished products, in an auxiliary enterprise of the automotive industry in order to optimize it. The case presents deficiencies in capacity and organization of the warehouse as well as at the reception of the raw material which affects the productive system, causing even stops due to lack of material. The reception system of the raw material is changed adapting labelling, combining it with distributors and improving its registration in the database of the company. The warehouse will be reorganized considering the space available and the different models and forms of material supply as well as its management. Finally, hazard identification and assessment at work place will be performed in order to minimize them. This work has allowed the company to obtain a warehouse with a new layout, more safe and effective.
