MEJORA DE EFICIENCIA ENERGÉTICA INTEGRAL EN EL HOSPITAL COMARCAL DEL NOROESTE DE LA REGIÓN DE MURCIA (ÁREA IV – SMS)

Abstract

Hospitals usually require a very high energy demand due to their activity along all the days of the year. Energy consumption increment together with an increase in the costs of production have led to a continuing concern to the hospital managers, who demand solutions for a better energy efficiency in service buildings by using the best available technology with the aim of reducing costs without an assistance quality decrease. In this paper an energy diagnosis of the Northwest Regional Hospital of Murcia (IV Area – Murcian Health Service) has been performed. The analysis of the obtained information and the knowledge gathered about functioning, requirements and shortcomings of the center have permitted to develop proposals for an energy efficiency improvement, which implementation in the center would be viable and would generate energy savings according to the Murcian Health Service.
