The new learning activities to be developed in classroom are causing many educational centres to transform the design of their traditional classrooms. Learning is becoming increasingly interactive and classrooms are expected to be more student-centred. In this context it is necessary to use new methodologies, such as Kansei Engineering, capable of translating user needs into design elements. Although there are many examples of application of this technique in the field of product development, its applications in space design are few and far between.
The present work identifies the subjective sensation that the classroom must generate with respect to the different tasks to be developed in it. This analysis is carried out by implementing Differential Semantics, within the framework of Kansei Engineering. For this purpouse, a sample of 900 students evaluated the design of 30 university classrooms.
The results show that the different activities require spaces that generate different sensations. In other words, there is a clear need to design classrooms capable of generating different environments depending on the tasks to be carried out in them.

Nowadays, the development of skills in product design should not be disconnected from the needs and responsibilities of today's world. Neither should we forget that the acquisition of transversal competences between subjects of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development allows the generation of skills related to personal development, required for the professional and academic fields.
In order to promote the acquisition of competences and teach them to the future designers, Conceptual Design subject together with Materials II subject, in the 2nd year of Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development Degree, work in a common project during 2 consecutive semesters, which converges in the design of a product in which not only the technical/theoretical knowledge acquired is shown, but also aims to awake their social motivation and involvement.
This paper shows the organization of the different tasks, the results obtained and the opinion of both teachers and students involved in the experience.

Competences’ acquisition must start from the professor’s perspective as a counselor, facilitator and sponsor of students’ training, minimizing master classes to promote their autonomy and collaborative work, and the evaluation by traditional methods to ensure their development is not possible.
Within the recession context –in Spain, Andalusia and Cadiz- with low growth and high youth unemployment rate, it is intended to promote students’ entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. Inside this framework, to review the models that underlie the ways of teaching and learning in project management subjects in the engineering degrees of the industrial branch -electricity, industrial electronics, mechanics and industrial technology- offered by the University of Cadiz -UCA- is proposed, selecting project-based learning -PBL-, in which students are the main characters, evolving them through experimentation.
This investigation consists of three main stages. In a first phase, education in entrepreneurship is encouraged. Next, culture of innovative entrepreneurship is promoted, propitiating the conditions for the -simulated- creation of new innovative companies. Finally, those proposals that potentially contribute to Cadiz improving its business deficit in technological sectors are selected.
